My Student Support Program @ OSU

Anytime Anywhere: MySSP @ OSU is an app that gives all OSU students, including Ecampus students, 24/7 access by text or phone with a licensed mental health counselor. The app makes it easy to schedule short-term counseling appointments with the same ongoing counselor and provides educational materials covering mental health topics. Students can communicate with a counselor in five different languages (Mandarin, Cantonese, French, Spanish or English); additional language options are available upon request. For questions, please contact Bonnie Hemrick, Director of Mental Health Promotion. Download and learn more here!

Counseling and Psycological Services

Students who are in crisis or struggling with mental health can connect with the Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS). CAPS offers a variety of services, resources and referrals to support your wellbeing. CAPS is located on the 5th floor of Snell Hall and has a website with frequently asked questions and available services.

Root Stock Foot Pantry

Students experiencing food insecurity are invited to visit the College of Forestry Rootstock Food Pantry, located in PFSC 168 (across from the elevator; near the Student Services Office). The pantry is stocked with a number of items and can be visited as often as needed.

The Rootstock Food Pantry will be open Wednesdays from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. If you need assistance outside of those hours, please locate staff in the department and admin offices that have a Rootstock sign outside their office door.

Students are also welcome to visit the OSU Basic Needs Center for additional resources and help signing up for SNAP benefits.

CoF Student Breakroom Facilities

CoF students are welcome to use the 1st floor PFSC break room and the Rootstock Annex on the second floor of Richardson to heat up food in the microwave and store items in the refrigerator. Please be courteous of the small space and limited storage by cleaning up your mess and removing food from the fridge in a timely manner (fridge will be cleaned out regularly!). The break room is located near the FERN Center Computing lab (look for the sign on the wall that says “Break Room 101).

Student Health Services

We are a team of highly qualified, caring health professionals who are dedicated to improving the health and wellness of our university community. We appreciate the unique environment of a university campus.

We’re here to help students build the skills and capacity they need to become equal partners in their health care so they can be successful while at Oregon State University and throughout their lives.

Our students can be reassured that their health is supported by clinicians, health educators and other professionals who provide campus-wide comprehensive primary health care, disease prevention and treatment services, as well as extensive health promotion programs.
